Dailymotion
Daily motion is a French video sharing website on which users can upload, share and view videos. Its headquarters are located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. As of November 2012, the site was the 31st most visited website in the world with over 116 million unique visitors accessing the site each month. Founded in March 2005 by Benjamin Bejbaum and Olivier Poitrey. On January 2011, Orange acquired a 49% stake in Daily motion for €62 million, while on January 2013 Orange bought the remaining 51% for €61 million. Dailymotion began expanding its physical presence internationally in 2008, the company opened office in London, New York City and Tokyo.
One good thing I would say about Daily Motion is that it allows users to generate Ad revenues from the video content they upload just like YouTube.
Rutube
Rutube is a web video streaming service targeted at Russian speakers. The web site includes videos created by private individuals and licensed programming from entertainment companies that are hosted directly on Rutube, and videos that have been viewed on Facebook. As of April 2012, just under 14.5 million unique users per month viewed video clips hosted on Rutube. Rutube was founded in 2006 by Oleg Volobuev and Mikhail Paukin, both from the Russian city of Oryol. In November 2008, the video portal was acquired by Gazprom Media Holdings at $15 million. Rutube office is located in Moscow.
Rutube does not support Ad revenue sharing services for its users and it is not yet known if they plan to do so in the future, check back for updates.
